Hana Lalani
Hana is a volunteer at Enable OT. She recently graduated from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and hopes to pursue a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. She was drawn to volunteering with Enable because of her passion for working with children and supporting their growth and development.
Movement has always been a big part of Hana’s life. She participated in gymnastics for many years and has coached gymnastics for the past eight years. Outside of coaching, she enjoys paddle boarding, hiking, travelling, and spending time outdoors with family and friends.
Fun Fact: Hana loves anything with a bit of an adrenaline rush and enjoys trying adventurous activities.
Alicia Hornby
Alicia is a volunteer with Enable OT and is in her fourth year at the University of British Columbia and is studying Biology. She plans to apply to the Master of Occupational Therapy Program once she graduates and hopes to become a pediatric occupational therapist.
Alicia loves working with kids and during the summer, she enjoys working as a camp leader. She also enjoys playing volleyball and has played on a team for over eight years. She currently plays on an intramural volleyball team at UBC.
Alicia also likes to spend time with friends and family, watch Netflix, exercise, and travel. She loves warm weather and wishes she could always be somewhere tropical.
Fun fact: Alicia has a twin sister!
Kate Randall
Kate is a volunteer at Enable OT and has completed her first year of Kinesiology at the University of British Columbia. She is interested in pursuing a career in healthcare, with a goal of becoming a pediatric Occupational Therapist, where she can support children and families in reaching their goals.
Kate is very active in her community and enjoys working with children. She spends her summers as a camp leader for young children at Jericho Tennis Club and is a Lifeguard with the City of Richmond. She is passionate about creating fun, inclusive, and supportive environments where children can feel confident and included. In her free time, Kate enjoys playing basketball, running, hiking, playing the guitar, and trying new things!
Fun fact: She recently signed up to run her very first marathon in Victoria!
Jessica Wang
Hannah is a volunteer with Enable OT. She graduated last year with her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and hopes to pursue her Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy. She loves working with children and has experience as a support worker and as a supervisor for afterschool care programs and summer camps.
Jessica enjoys staying active by going to the gym and trying different workout classes. She’s also a big foodie and loves discovering new restaurants and trying new foods with her friends. In her spare time, she loves to paint, sing and read.
Fun fact: Her dream travel destination is Greece from reading the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants book when she was younger!
Hannah Sawatsky
Hannah is a volunteer with Enable OT. . She is currently a student at the University of British Columbia and majoring in kinesiology. She hopes to pursue a career in healthcare in the future!
Hannah loves spending time outdoors, especially hiking or at the beach. During the winter she loves to go skiing! She also has been dancing since she was young, and is currently on some dance teams at UBC.
In her free time, you can find her taking dance classes, finding new shows to watch on Netflix, and staying active! After she graduates, she hopes to do lots of travelling and explore different places around the world!
Fun Fact: Hannah is from snowy Alberta!
Cadee Fu
Cadee is a volunteer at Enable OT and is entering her second year at the University of British Columbia, where she is majoring in Psychology. She enjoys working with people and is passionate about pursuing a future career in Occupational Therapy.
Cadee is actively involved in her community, regularly volunteering at various community centres. She especially loves working with children and has experience as a summer camp leader.
In her free time, Cadee enjoys spending time with friends and family, trying new foods, shopping, and playing spikeball at the beach.
Fun fact: She doesn’t like cheese but will still eat pizza!
Katherine Cai
Katherine is a volunteer at Enable OT and is currently studying Neuroscience at the University of British Columbia. She plans to complete a Masters in Occupational Therapy, and work on clinical research that directly informs patient care.
Katherine is also a swim and aquafit instructor, and lifeguard. She is passionate about integrating inclusive practices into recreational programs, so that everyone can participate, barrier free.
In her free time, she loves engaging in joyful movement such as swimming, ice skating, paddleboarding, and roller skating!
Fun fact: She can solve various Rubik’s cubes. Her favourite puzzle cube is the mirror cube.
