Recreation Therapy Team
Nicole is a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (TRS) registered with the British Columbia Therapeutic Recreation Association (BCTRA). Nicole is also the clinic manager at Enable OT.
Nicole graduated with her Bachelor’s degree from Douglas College in 2017 specializing in Physical Rehabilitation and Children and Youth. Prior to completing her Bachelor’s Degree, Nicole completed a Sport Science Diploma through Douglas College. Nicole holds Emergency First Aid, CPR/AED Level C, and High Five certifications. Nicole has experience working with adolescents in the community as well as older adults and seniors in a long term care setting. Nicole has worked with adolescents in a supported independent living setting working towards community reintegration and independent recreation participation. Nicole completed a practicum placement with older adults living in the Acquired Brain Injury Unit. Nicole also completed her internship placement at George Pearson
Centre in Vancouver working with Adults with severe physical disabilities.
Recreation has always been a key component of Nicole’s life. Growing up she played competitive soccer and fastpitch while also taking ballet, jazz, hip-hop and musical theatre dance lessons. As an adult, Nicole continues to participate in recreation through women’s soccer and co-ed softball. In her spare time, Nicole enjoys weightlifting, being outdoors, and spends some of her downtime reading. Her strong personal connection with recreation and leisure’s positive benefits naturally led Nicole towards pursuing an education in a field that recognizes and values what recreation participation can do for individuals.
